Extension Installation Guide

Follow these visual steps to load the BrowserShield extension into your browser.

Recommended Method

Install from Official Web Stores

The easiest way to install and auto-update BrowserShield. Get it directly from the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, or Firefox Add-ons.

1.Click one of the install buttons below to open the official extension store page for your browser.
2.Click Add to Chrome, Get, or Add to Firefox and confirm the permission dialog.
3.Pin BrowserShield in your browser toolbar, click its icon, and enter your 64-character activation key.

🏢 Force-Run for All User Profiles (All OS)

To ensure BrowserShield runs automatically for all device users and profiles on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave Browser, apply our cross-platform Administrator Policy configurations.🔒 Administrator Enforcement: When applied, only device administrators can install or uninstall the BrowserShield extension. The option to disable or remove the extension will be locked/greyed out for normal browser users.

Windows (Active Directory / Local Registry)

Download and run our native compiled installers to register policy keys globally under HKLM. For Group Policy (GPO) or silent deployments, you can deploy the raw registry configuration:

💡 Active Directory / MSI Deployments: We provide a pre-compiled native .MSI installer package to register policies globally. Alternatively, you can use the .REG registry configuration or GPO Registry Preferences.
🔄 Uninstallation: To remove policies using the unified executable, run browsershield-installer.exe /uninstall from an elevated command prompt. To uninstall via MSI, run msiexec /x browsershield-installer.msi.
macOS (MDM Configuration Profile)

Download our configuration profile plist payload. Open macOS System Settings to install it, or deploy it globally via your MDM platform:

Download our pre-compiled Debian policy installer package to write the managed settings JSON automatically:

To maintain absolute user privacy and ensure a zero-knowledge local security model, BrowserShield does not track or store your activation codes in connection with your personal identity on our servers.⚠️ Lost activation codes cannot be retrieved or tracked. Please ensure you store your activation code in a safe and secure location.
